It's been some months since the terrible ordeal in Wisconsin, but then artist Julian Bernard is contacted by a young legal clerk who wants his help in finding out why children are disappearing and then reappearing some days later in Aylesbury, Massachusetts. He and several others set forth in late April, 1927, to find out what's going on.

I ran a Call of Cthulhu Game at NerdCon 2016 at Appalachian State University. "Terror Over Tokyo 2: The Fog Village" took place during the Doolittle Raid on Tokyo in April 1942. The B-25 Bomber that is part of the raid crashes in China after the bombing of Nagoya and are found by Chinese pygmies who are much worse than they originally seem.

In January, 1603, London is in the grip of a bitterly cold winter. The air is crisp with a heavy frost that is slow to thaw. Rumors abound that the plague is once more abroad in the city. Numerous houses have already been boarded up and people have again taken to the slaughter of stray dogs, wearing too-strong perfume, and applying arsenic under their armpits. The Pest House is filling and deaths are on the rise. Queen Elizabeth is unwell and wil probably die before the spring. Everyone is wary of others and foreigners certainly are carriers. Stranger events are also on the rise. Can the investigators deal with a possible grave threat to London and the British crown?

On May 22, I started the Elizabethan scenario "The King of Shreds and Patches" with my regular group. We didn't finish and should have a second session soon.

The roleplaying journal for the game is here:

January 1603. Still investigating the seemingly unconnected deaths of playwright John Croft and a young girl visiting London from Amsterdam, the investigators have uncovered clues leading to a plot to murder William Shakespeare as well as connections between the two earlier deaths. Can they protect Shakespeare? How are the deaths connected with the fragments of a play by Christopher Marlowe called "The King in Yellowe" and Hastur? What is Dr. John Dee's connection? Who is Joseph Barker?

On June 5, I ran the conclusion of the scenario "The King of Shreds and Patches" with my group.

Several strangers find themselves the prisoners of orcs, forced to work as slaves to uncover something the orcs are after in an ancient, buried temple. Can the adventurers work together to gain their freedom or will they die in the Scar?

On June 26, I started a new Advanced Dungeons & Dragons 2nd Edition campaign. The first scenario is The Scar.

The roleplaying journals of the scenario can be found here:

http://www.penandpapergames.com/forums/entry.php/1968-Advanced-Dungeons-amp-Dragon-2nd-Edition-The-Scar-Session-One

Players were:

Logan Scott as Helius Wik (human mage)
Collin Townsend as Tarmak of the Winding Road (human priest of Fharlanghn)
Aaron Scott as Kilb Bronzescale (kobold thief)
Nathaniel Steelman as Rome (elf priest of Corellon Larethian)
Kyle Matheson as Arthelion the Enlightened (human mage)
Hannah Gambino as Noiree Fragginth (dwarf fighter)
Ashton LeBlanc as Elriya Warrick (Halfling thief)

I ran a short, impromptu bit of role playing to introduce a couple of people to the basic concept of tabletop gaming Wednesday. We only did it for a little while but the record of the session can be found here:

Everyone just played themselves.

In April 1667, the pirate frigate Sweet Vengeance set sail in search of a supposed Spanish treasure ship leaving Porto Bello. What they found instead was a lost island and a terrible ruined city. Would the officers and crew of the ship survive seeking Forbidden Cargo?

On July 10, I ran an original pirate scenario Forbidden Cargo.
