In the spring of 1877, three men arrived in the village of Saltmarsh in Washington Territory. Each of them had goals and aspirations of their own, but they would soon be thrown together by the strange events that surrounded that isolated town on the Pacific coast. Soon, others joined them.

On May 11, we continued the Down Darker Trails campaign online, tentatively named Pacific Northwest Fears. We're starting off using the Advanced Dungeons and Dragons scenario "The Sinister Secret of Saltmarsh" as well as the D&D campaign "Ghosts of Saltmarsh" adapted to Call of Cthulhu in the American west.

This session saw the investigators go in search of the missing Levi Weddall's fishing boat. Also, something lurks outside of Jack Justice's house.

The roleplaying game journal of the session is here:

Players are:

James Brown as William Hazard (dilettante)
Yorie Latimer as Hugh Pierre Luckheart aka Jack Justice (greenhorn)
Aaron Frager as James Jones Jr. aka Tex (teamster)
Sean McPike as Loren Hutton (journalist/author)

In June of 1004 A.D., the small group brought the lost Brother Drake back to life, though the man fled from the priory in Murkwell where he was resurrected. What becomes of Brother Drake that fateful night?

On May 22, I ran another online game of Call of Cthulhu, this time Cthulhu Dark Ages, as we learn what happened to Brother Drake after he fled from Murkwell Priory.

The roleplaying journal of the scenario is here:

Players were:

Matt McPike as Brother Drake (monk)

In the summer of 1004 A.D., the small group tries to continue their research in the secret library until they learn of strange things afoot in Murkwell.

On June 26, I ran another online game of Call of Cthulhu, this time Cthulhu Dark Ages, as the investigators learn spells and more suspicious events unfold.

On July 13, we continued the Down Darker Trails campaign online, tentatively named Pacific Northwest Fears. This session saw the investigators and two excise men from town assault the smugglers ship.

Unfortunately, OBS changed its audios settings for some reason. As I had no audio of the game session, this entry is merely a summary of what happened to the best of my recollection

In the late summer of 1004 A.D., the small group travels to Canterbury on their way back to the Gloaming Thicket. While they are in that city, secrets are revealed about various members of the party and a traitor is caught.

On July 17, I ran another online game of Call of Cthulhu, this time Cthulhu Dark Ages, as the investigators find that agents within the church might be working against them. Or are they working against the church?
