War Paint Inks?? - Old Dwarf - 10-30-2014 11:19 AM In preparation for my SoB painting I ordered a base set of 7 War Paint Inks as I'm going to be using the SoB War Paint Sets. The Inks/washes I've always used are from GW & you really need to cut them with water otherwise at full strength you get horrid results. The War Paint Inks came with an instructional pamphlet ( covering painting in general) which showed using the Inks at full strength. So has anyone used War Paint Inks ? and can tell me how to use them? as I have real reservations about applying Inks at full strenfth. OD RE: War Paint Inks?? - Old Dwarf - 10-30-2014 02:22 PM I sent War Paint a message asking about this & they shot back a quick answer. "Hi Bill, I think it'll always be a manner of personal taste. However, they are designed to be used straight from the pot." Cheers Jonas Faering The Army Painter Email: Jonas@TheArmyPainter.com Web: http://www.TheArmyPainter.com So I guess I'll need to pull out some figures & experiment as I'm still not comfortable using right from the pot but if anyone here has experience in using these Inks I'd like your opinion. OD RE: War Paint Inks?? - samuraitrev - 10-30-2014 06:46 PM Can't say I've ever used them but I'm interested how they turn out. |
