Nice- the effect on the upturned hat flap could have been so easy to miss
when painting.

In terms of the amount of work put into a model I'd vote Nikki as my favourite. Great job on the others too.
Thanks for sharing

Those are awesome! I just started painting my Hero minis from my Last Night On Earth set. I've been painting my zombies from Zombicide. I wasn't too sure if I would be any good at painting Heroes/Survivors as well. Zombies can be messy and it is part of the whole look. For the Heroes/Survivors, you need to be a little neater because you tend to want them to actually look like the character in the artwork. I decided to start with my LNOE Heroes because they seemed a little easier to paint (less detail) than the Zombicide Survivors. So far, I've been pleasantly surprised with my work.

Nothing like your stuff, though. This rocks!

Question for you.... how did you achieve the denim look? I want to do that with my characters who happen to be wearing jeans as well. I don't want them to just look painted blue, I want them to look like jeans.

Thanks for the compliments StayPuft.

To get the denim effect, I painted a base coat of a suitable blue, then washed with GW Nuln Oil to get the shadows and finally did a gentle dry brush of a lighter blue. This dry brush picks up the highlights as can been seen on Jake's jeans.

Hope that helps and best of luck with your heroes.

Awesome! Thanks. I may give that a try.

BTW, I happen to use Nuln Oil too. I love that stuff. It seeps in so perfectly to the details. Really adds in some detail/realism on the miniatures.

It has become my newest best friend when it comes to painting and I have our very own Samuraitrev to thank for introducing me to it.
