Actually, I'm pretty sure that was the ending in the theatrical release...yeah, they pretty much nailed it. That was hilarious. Pardon me while I show it to everyone I know...

as I recall there were two different theatrical releases.. with two different endings. at least in my town there was.

Yep there were two different endings, one where he dies going through the fence and one where he survives... Cant remember what else changes in the endngs

Actually, there was also a third ending that was discussed and storyboarded, but didn't actually get filmed. It also took the second half of the movie in a completely different direction.
