This game is awesome. It's like Oblivion meets GTA. I've been running around killing birds and different land animals. THEN I've been skinning them and selling the meat and pelts for money. I tried to get a new horse, but I couldn't catch the damn thing. I also been collecting some flowers along the way.
The only thing I don't care for is the "bonus" outfit you're supposed to get from pre-ordering at GameStop. You don't "get" it right away. You only get "knowledge" of the outfit, then you have to run around collecting different parts of the outfit. That's around 5 little mini-quests. What a pain.
Other than that, fantastic game. I can't wait to play some more!

It's not released here until Friday but I will be there first thing in the morning to pick up my pre-ordered Limited Edition!!

So, I played some more today. Highlights included:
- A mountain lion attacked me and it killed my horse. I had to shoot the damn thing 4 times to kill it. My poor horse. I skinned it and took its meat to market.
- I had a shoot out with some rough neck and filled him so full of lead, he'll be shitting Hasslefree Miniatures for a week.
- I also ran into a bandits' hideout and rescued the daughter of some old dude.
- I saved the game and went on a rampage and was picking people off with my shotgun purely at random. It was a blast. I haven't had this much fun playing a game since Oblivion.
- I got a new outfit. I'm dressed kind of like Maverick now and I can cheat when I play cards (not sure what that means yet)
All in all, I've played probably 4 hours and I've only played the main quest for about 30 minutes. A word to the wise, make sure you master the fine art of using your Dead Eye. That assassin outfit, once you can get it, will come in very handy. I wish I had it now.

Bought the game today...but won't play it until Friday, in honor of my British cousin....
