Gates of Arkham
FFG is coming out with a new Elder Sign Expansion
"Gates of Arkham" It appears to be the real "Arkham Horror Light we always hear about in Game comparisons. Unlike the previous "Unseen Forces" Expansion this one takes the Game out of the Museum & right into Arkham. http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_n...?eidn=5088 I like Elder Sign it's a quick Mythos fix but I always felt the Museum was a restriction on the Game & even added some House Rules for other locations. It's rarely got to the table since Eldritch Horror came out. Arkham Gates appears to open up the Game more allowing players to go all over Arkham & it introduces 4 new Old Ones. The obvious thought is this Game going to expand into the other Arkham Horror Expansions Locations ? Arkham Horror is one FFG Golden Eggs but it has become massively bloated & they have taken it about as far as the Theme material goes. Arkham Gates could well allow them to resell us Arkham Horror in a simpler package. Speaking of the Unseen Forces Expansion (well I did mention it above) with the Arkham Gates news I was inspired to break out Elder Sign again & use the Unseen Forces expansion for the first time. The Blessed/Cursed die are a nice touch & the new mythos cards offer some interesting choices I wonder if Arkham Gates will include them. RE: Gates of Arkham
This is exciting. Elder Sign was one of the few games I kept when I last purged my possessions. My wife in particular really enjoys dice games of all kinds. I'm also a big fan of Arkham horror and this is a great compact version. Will have to put this on her Christmas list

RE: Gates of Arkham
Do like Elder Sign very much, and was pleased with what Unseen Forces added to the game too. I do like Arkham Horror as well, but it takes so long to set up and needs lots of table space, so I save it for when I'm in the mood for an epic game. Looking fowad to Gates of Arkham.

RE: Gates of Arkham
Just got the CSI Shipping notice for Gates of Arkham, so another Game will
await me when I get back home in a few weeks. So I'll have District Z, Banners of War, Cthulhu Wars & now Gates of Arkham all at once! I'll need to make an opening/play schedule up otherwise it will be just a mess.(well a nice mess but still a mess).
