Isabella Von Took, invincible?
I played as Isabella, against the Spectral Horseman, and had a stack of Investigation...
Her ability lets you pay an investigation (or lose an event or item) to prevent a wound. How could I lose? And, I didn't but this character seemed overly strong. Does this sound right to you? |

Thanks O.D!
That helps. I thought I was doing something wrong using the character, but it seems others' have this same problem. |

RE: Isabella Von Took, invincible?
My partner Kath played her in the basic game and she was very, very powerful.
I played her in the advanced game and had no luck rolling to pick up Investigation and kept dying as a consequence! So personally I think she is quite well balanced in the advance game. |

RE: Isabella Von Took, invincible?
Yeah, I can see how the advanced game kind of evens her out....
Just not a good character for the basic game (which we are only played to 'get' the rules) |

RE: Isabella Von Took, invincible?
I'm Playing her now in an Advanced Game-so far
her "manuplication" Ability has allowed her to cancel 1 wound. She does seem to have the worst Luck Rolling for Inv.Tokens :P-I have her camped on an Area with a stack of Inv.Tolkens & she keeps getting 0 or 1. She was caught by a wolf pack by Lingering OD Sighing like the night wind and sobbing like the rain,— Wailing for the lost one that comes not again: |

RE: Isabella Von Took, invincible?
Yes no good can come from lingering OD. I agree with Zom that Isabella is pretty unstoppable in the basic game but you toss her into an advanced game (which she is intented it would seem) and her ability balances out. I know she has had a heckuva time rolling for investigation tokens as well.
I just get tired of the flipping complaining and foul crying there sometimes. Bunch of bloody nitpicking Bastards some people on "The Geek" are. "Dead is Dead. Parts is parts. Dead guys is parts."-Ripperjack. "When There Is No More Room In Hell, Paul W.S. Anderson Films Walk The Earth." |

RE: Isabella Von Took, invincible?
I totally OWNED the Horseman in an Advanced Game with her today...but I do concede I probably got a bit lucky with the Investigation rolls. It would have to be a repeated thing before I would call her "broken".
