I painted them with plain ol' acrylic paint and no primer. They're fantastic. I don't throw them around or anything like that though. My girlfriend just twisted one of the figures that we painted and there was absolutely no cracking or pealing of any kind.
I just started painting some metal miniatures for some "3rd party" characters I'm making for the game. I changed it up a bit though. I bought some white primer because I was having a ton of trouble with the acrylic paint adhering to the metal. Now it's going quite well. If I paint any more LNOE figures, I'll be using this "new" method. That's for sure. Welcome to the board by the way. I think this thread bit me...
