AToE Rational
I like to play games that convey a sense of background,
one off games can be great fun but to really enjoy a
game I need to get into its "world".

AToE has great theme but I sort of wonder the rational
behind all the strangers ghost busting in a small town.
FFP implies they have been hired by the town elders to
investigate but somehow a labor pool of Evil Minion Hunters
seems a bit strained.

I have therefore come up with my own Rational, stealing
from some recent popular novels. My apologies to the Masonic
Orders mentioned & to any Illuminati if your out there.

The Knights Templer survivors fled, the French purge
of their Order to Scotland.Over the centuries the
Order died out but many of its Tenants were merged
into Freemasonry.

What is not common knowledge is that the Templers
maintained extra esoteric Rites dedicated to confronting &
destroying Evil. These Templer Rites were incorporated into
advanced "secret"degrees of the Freemasons & its sister
society The Order of The Eastern Star. The Simon & Endor
degrees respectively.

Some Templers however began to see the advantages
that the power of Evil could be used for & sought ways
to control Evil rather than destroy it.

The resulting Schism was complete in 1776 when the
dissenting Templers founded The Illuminati Order to
pursue their own dark path & drew many Freemasons & Eastern Star Templers to their mission.

Both groups pursued Evil for its own ends & both
were often called Minion Hunters or Witch Hunters.

Minion Hunters in the late 18th & Early 19th Centuries.

The Touch of Evil Game by Flying Frog Productions
is played as is except for the following set up
changes.

Type of Game:

AToE has a competitive mode & a cooperative
mode to choose which roll: d6:

1-2 Competitive :Choose 1 Templer & 1 Illuminati
Minion Hunter below.

3-4 Team: Roll d6 to get # of hunters involved on each team

1-2=2
3-4=3
5-6=4

5-6 Cooperative: Roll d6:Even =Templers,
Odd= Illuminati .Then choose how many Minion
Hunters of that group you get.Roll d4: to
get # of Hunters.

Now roll d4 to get the Minion Hunter(s) if
rolling for multiple Hunters in the Cooperative
Game reroll duplicates.

Hunters-Masonic

2.Karl (FM/TR-SD)
2.Inspector Cooke(FM/TR-SD)
4.Henrich Cartwright(FM/TR-SD)

(FM/TR-SD=Freemason Templer Rite=Simon Degree)
( OES/TR-ED=Order of The Eastern Star Templer Rite
Endor Degree)

Hunters- Illuminati

2.Isabella Van Took

Sighing like the night wind and sobbing like the rain,—
Wailing for the lost one that comes not again:
