When a temple collapses, the temple figure is removed, the Artifact and Adventure cards are discarded, and any remaining Fortune is returned to the pool. During the End Phase, replacement Artifact and Adventure cards are drawn to place a new artifact on the board.
The removal of everything related to the temple is to emulate the fact that the whole place was unsteady and came crashing down around you, swallowing the remaining fortune and crushing the temple idol (this is also why you have to make an escape test). |
