If there's 2 players and a Hero dies, that's it, you don't get any new Heroes.
If there's 2 players and a Hero dies with the Heroes Replenish rule then you get a new Hero. If there's more than 2 Hero players and a Hero character dies you get a new Hero. (This is to prevent a player sat on their own.) If there's more than 2 Hero players and a Hero character dies with the Heroes Replenish rule then you get a new Hero.
