Battle Summary

The Empire opened the battle with and Artillery barrage but the gunpower was dampened by the climate and would not spark. The Damned 1st & 2nd Brittany Regiments moved to engage the Empires Center.

Empire made quick advantage of the weakness in the Hell's Army Left Flank held only by a company of empire deserters and Bran Carnoth. The Austrian 2nd Regiment with support from the 3rd Regiment routed the deserter company
but Bran Carnoth & his Squamata troops repelled an attack by the 1st Australian Arequbus battalion driving them from the field.

Gilles de Rais was forced to intervene to save his Left Flank but his Heavy Cavalry was decimated on the pikes of the Austrians and routed. The Hell Army its moral broken by seeing their Commander flee retreated leaving the field to the Empire Forces.

Result: The Empires Minor Victory gaining 4 Campaign Victory points to the Damned 2 Campaign Victory points.The actual casualties were close ( Empire 4 Tactical points & the Damned 1 Tactical points.As Victors Tactical Point Total was twice that of Loser the Victor got +1 Tactical Point

Battle Summary

The Battle opened on the Acheron Right Flank with the Empire Imperial Artillery barrage driving the 1st Hell Troop back off the Front line. The Damned 3rd Brittany Regiment advanced on the Acheron Right and Abaddon rallied the Hell Hound Troop which returned to the Left Flank.The 1st & 2nd Papal Regiments advance on the their Left Flan advance on the 1st & 2nd Pagan Regiments.

The Damned then sent the 3rd Hell Hound Troop forward from its Left Flank to assault the 3rd Austrian Regiment but it yield no conclusive results .The Damned then turned to the Center with the 1st Brittany Regiment advancing on the Austrian Dopplesoldner Battalion and the Empire Deserters moving against the 2nd Bavarian Arquebus Battalion with 2nd Brittany Regiment moving in support.

The Imperial Artillery responds by a barrage against the 2nd Pagan regiment that crumples & flees the battle.The Empire then turns to the Center as the 2nd Austrian Regiment Charges the Deserters cutting them down and causing the survivors to flee the field. The Dopplesoldner Battalion attacks the 1st Brittany Regiment but neither yield. The 2nd Bavarian Arquebus opens fire on the 3rd Battalion Hell Hounds & send them fleeing. The Damned respond by renewing the fighting
attacking the Austrian Dopplesoldner Battalion but is pushed back. On the Right Flank the Pagan 1st Regiment attacks the 1st Papal Regiment and is pushed it back as the 2nd Pagan Regiment attacks the 2nd Papal Regiment and smashes it forcing the Regiment to rout .

The Empire Imperial Artillery fires on the 1st Hell Hound forcing them back and the 2nd Austrian Regiment attacks 2nd Hell Hounds routing them off the field. The Damned seeing their lines weaken respond with a charge by the 2nd Hell Hound Battalion on the 2nd Austrian Regiment pushing off the front line In the Center the 2nd Brittany attacks the Austrian Dopplesoldner pushing it back. The Efforts are in vain as Abaddon is displeased with his Armies performance and
abandons the field giving the Empire a Minor Victory and access to 2nd Level of Hell.

Result: The Empires Minor Victory gaining 3 Campaign Victory points to the Damns 2 Campaign Victory points. The actual casualties were close ( Empire 3 Tactical points & the Damned 1 Tactical points )
