The Empires Army retreats into the darkness its torches & lanterns barely allowing illumination of the next step. When the darkness gradually fades into the usual gloom of the Necropolis Hells the Papal Brigade has become separated from the main Army and to make matters worst the Lust Forces appear out of the Gloom and both sides hurriedly form up their Battle Lines. The Empire anchors its Right Flank along a ridge line. The Lust forces under the Greater Demon Asmodeus are thrown into a line resulting in its Left Flank held only by a Squamata Regiment and a company of Empire Deserters.

The Empire lacking the Papal Brigade holds and awaits the Lust forces attack which quickly comes as the Lord of Lust with his Maenads and 2 Squamata Regiment move on the Empires Left Flank. The Imperial Artillery opens up on the Lust Center sending a barrage into Tannhauser and the Venusberg Knights scoring a direct and routing them. The 2nd Bavarian Battalion fires on the advancing Lord of Lust Battalion but it has little effect however the Lust Army stunned by the fate of Tanhauser and his knights pause in their attacks. The Empire 3rd Austrian Regiment and 2nd Bavarian Battalion now engage the their Left Flank but neither side can prevail.Switching to their Right Flank the Imperial Dopplesoldner Battalion and the 1st Bohemian Militia move on the lust weak Flank. Asmodeus realizing the threat to his Left Flank sends A Flagellant Battalion from his Center to shore up his Left and the other Flagellant Battalion advances on the 3rd Bavarian Arquebus Battalion covering the Imperial Artillery.

The Imperial Artillery responds firing on the advancing Flagellants the Empire Gunners are again accurate squarely hitting the Flagellants and routing them. The 3rd Bavarian Arquebus follows up by moving on the Lust Center.The Dpplesoldner and Bohemian Militia attack on the Lust Left Flank as the Empire Deserters and the Flagellants hold them off. The Lust Army strikes back with attacks on the Empires Left Flank that pushes the 3rd Austrian Regiment and 2nd Bavarian Battalion back. The attack on the Empires Right however goes badly and the Dopplesoldner Battalian routs the Empire Deserter Company. The Empire is able to rally it's troops that were pushed back.The 3rd Austria returns to the Left Flank .The Dopplesoldner Battalion charges the Squamata Regiment seeking the further weaken the Lusts Left Flank but the Lust troops hold. Lush now unleashes fury on the Empires Left Flank with The Lord of Lust Maenads and a Squamata smashing into and routing the 2nd Austrian Regiment and 3 Bohemian Milita putting the Empires Batttle Line in danger. Asmodeus moves from behind the lines to Lust Left Flank .

The Empire responds bringing the 2nd Bavarian Arquebus back to the Left Flank and ordering the 3rd Austrian Regiment to attack the Lord of Lust Maenads which they manage to push back. The 3rd Bavarian Arquebus sends a volley into the remaining Empire Deserter Company in the Center but without result. Lust now seeks victory against the Empires Right a Squamata Regiment attacks and routs the Dopplesoldner Battalion and General Gluck moves his 1st Austrian Regiment from the reserves to the Left Flank . Asmodeus advances and Attacks the 1st Bohemian Militia and routs them leaving the 1st Austrian Regiment the only force holding the Empires Right.

The Empire tries to distract the Lust Army from its Right by attacking on its Left with the 2 Bavarian Arquebus fire on and pushing the Squamata Regiment back. The Lust Army does take the bait and the 2 Succubus Regiments on the Empires Right attack the 2nd Bavarian is forced back but 3rd Austrian Forces the other Succubus Regiment back. The Battle is now in the balance with both the Austrian Right and the Lust Left in danger. The Battle lulls with both armies girding for a final push which will decide the fate of the entire Campaign. The Empire moves first on the Lust Right as the 3rd Austrian Regiment charges the remaining Succubus Regiment and forces it back which turns Lust Flank and the Lust Army breaks
and flees.

Result: The Empires gains a Major Victory: Final VP Empire 9 /Lust 7
The Empires way to the 3rd level of Hell against the Gluttons is open.
