AToE has a competitive mode & a cooperative
mode to choose which roll: d6:

1-3 Competitive ::Roll d4 Choose to select which of
4 Hunter Groups-reroll duplicates:Then roll d8 or d6
to select 1 Hunter from each of the chosen groups


4-6 Team: Roll d3 Choose to select which Hunter
Group:Then roll d6 to select 2 Hunters from the
chosen Group-reroll duplicates

Note the Cooperative Game Mode is played
as a "Team"Game.
