[Old Dwarf]

Background :The Wilmarth Foundation is a rip off of Brian Lumlery "Titus
Crow" Mythos Series. It's based at Miskatonic Univ. & provides world wide help
& support to Mythos investigations . I used it to provide a rational for
COMON's Cthulhu -Death May Die . For AH3 I'm creating a sub committee
that just deals with the New England Area.

Gentlemen I have asked you to come today to request your help in
an important matter to the Foundation.Our Mission, as your no doubt aware,
is greatly strained to provide funding & support to our worldwide network
to our Agents.Yet we have found This section of New England obviously has
thin walls between the worlds & needs more attention to stop the Great Old
Ones & their minions from breaking through to our world.

I have discussed this matter with Dr.Armitage & will turn this meeting over to him.
Thank you Dr.Peasley,I have considered the problem of providing increased Investigations
of Occult activities & here is what I propose.

That the 3 of us,Henry Armitage,Warren Rice
and Francis Morgan form a a special commitee to recruit local individuals who have in some
way experience outre happenings and are of a mind to explore those events further.

These Investigators will do the field work and file their findings with us so that we can
correlate and prepare our Defensives to oppose these evils.

But Henry the cost,I mean I'm sure these "investigators" will not work for free,how
will we pay them ?

Francis we won't,they will be the type of people who will want to get to the bottom of things,
their own curiosity & need to know will motivate them.They will continue to work or do whatever
as they have been doing all along.We simply provide them with a sense of purpose & meaning
to what they experience.Do you agree Warren?

Yes I see what you mean,but I suggest we do offer some small payment for their daily expenses.
We know looking into these THINGS can be dangerous.I think some token payments would
be a way of showing we value their work.I think we could easily come up with some cover
story like a research project we could present to the University to cover such costs.

Then it's settled,I think I can get this "Research Project" funded through the Library Dept.some
sort of Folklore of New England thing,We'll also need to make discreet inquiries to
local citizens who have reported strange happenings and to put out some type of
Study participants wanted to the public.

Francis you have contacts with the Arkham police, see if you can get the names & addresses of
people who have filed reports of strange happenings.Warren if you can put some students
to work combing back issues of the Arkham paper for the same type of thing.

Once we collect & screen likely people we'll approach them about becoming investigators.

the Mission Statements that Dr.Morgan & I have submitted for your approval.


The Committee's mission is to document occurrences
to support the Mythos Theory concerning certain Old Ones
that predated humanity & may be preparing to
return to reclaim earth.

Operations Statement

The Comittee shall consist of 3 Proctors who shall
gather & evaluate reports of strange occurrences.
Reports that warrant Investigating shall be assigned
to field Investigators,who in turn will submit the results
of their Investigations.

The number of Proctors may be increased by unanimous
vote of Proctors.

Security Statement

Committee activities shall be secret and be presented
when necessary as a Folk Myth in New England
Project sponsored by the Library Studies Dept. of
Miskatonic University.

All Proctors & Investigators must take a secrecy oath
as to the Watchers & its activities.No resignations shall
be accepted from members but upon application
the Proctors may approve an inactive status for
members.

Field Investigators Operations

-All Investigators will be approved by the Committee

-All Investigations will be will be assigned
by the Proctors however Investigators may pursue
personal Investigations as long as such Investigations
are reported to the Proctors.

-Investigators shall keep the purpose of their Investigations
secret.

-Investigators are volunteers however the Watchers
will pay an honorarium for the submission of Reports &
Evidence concerning Mythos Activities.

-Investigators shall be considered Research Assistances
& as such shall be eligible for medical coverage through
Miskatonic University,if injured during the course of their
Investigations.

Gentlemen have presented the Mission,Operations,
Security& Field Operations Statements,I move for
approval.

Personal Journal of Dexter Drake

Wednesday,December 15th.1920

The Letter from the Committee was ill timed to say the least.I was preparing to take
my Act on for an extended engagement at National Theater in the New York City but the letter is urgent.
I have noticed the atmosphere here in Arkham is getting darker,people are avoiding
the streets & eachother. The strange lights in the sky & rumors of strange creatures
being sighted & vanishings have set the town on edge.

The Committee has requested I lead up an investigation into these happenings as they suspect
some dark evil force is behind these happenings. Thus I have notified The National management I must cancel
my appearances due to a personal emergency & set about taking on the Investigation tasks.

Sunday,December 19th.1920

I have reviewed the list the Committee provided of agents that are available & have selected
Tommy Muldoon a good man in case the going gets rough & Jenny Barns ,she's a bit of a wild card
but if the Investigation needs to spread some cash around she's the Gal for the job. I have
arranged to meet them at the train station over on the Northside tomorrow as it seems that
Neighborhood has recently been the sight of strange happenings.

Monday,December 20th.1920

-Note each full Game Turn=1 Day
-Set Up Board per Scenario with a Spread Doom at Velma's Diner
-At Train Station:
Dexter Drake-with Magician's Cane(curio) & Mists of R'lyrh(Spell)+$2
Tommy Muldoon-with Motorcycle (vehicle)& Becky(2H Weapon)+$2
Jenny Barnes-with Search for Izzie (Talent) & Twin 45's(weapon)+$5

Action Phase:

Dexter
-Moves from Train Station to Arkham Advertiser Office
-Wards against Doom Token & is successful in Lore Check

Tommy
-Moves via Motorcycle from Train Station to Independence Square in the Downtown
-Attacks & defeats the Robed Figure there with a blast from Becky-Successful Strength Check

Jenny
-Stays at the Train Station & gains +1 Influence Focus Token
-Gathers resources & gains $1

Monster Phase:

-a Robed Figure moves from the Black Cave in the Rivertown Neighborhood to the Police Station
in Easttown Neighborhood.

Encounter Phase:

Dexter-Speaks to editor of the Arkham Advertiser who is curious about the strange happenings but
Dexter reveals nothing about the Investigation( Failed Lore Test)

Tommy-Visits Anna Kaslow the Soothsayers booth & rolls the Runes. The Runes are not good & Tommy
loses a Sanity (Failed Will Test)

Jenny-runs into an old friend Sachiko Higa & gains an Ally.

Mythos Phase:

Dexter-is undisturbed a welcome Respite

Tommy
- A Tindalos Alpha spawns at Velma's Diner
-Reads the Arkham Advertiser story"Wild Animal Attacks Spike"
(The Tindalos Alpha feeds & returns to the void.)

Jenny
-Doom Spreads to the Unvisited Isle
-Reads the Arkham Story"Big City Burglers Busted"
(Thugs mug Jenny & attempt to swipe her guns.She fights
them off but takes a wound in the process)

The first turn went smoothly with just a few rule checks once everything was
set up.The Phases work to move the Turn along. Using 3 Inv. should give me
time to handle the various things the Encounter & Mythos Phases throw
out, but already I have both the Unvisited Isle & Velma's Diner with 2 Doom
Tokens if they get 1 more bad things happen so I'll need to use the next
Action Phase to do some Warding.
