Got in our first few hours of play-testing of Warhammer Adventure and had a ball other than some giant rats that refused to die and were nasty. Actually really funny. Learned what could use tweaking, what wasn't really necessary tbh and what's good. Our adventurers started off an old mine entrance where they slew some undead and picked up some items. We are playing the "Dead don't die" scenario. You don't find out what Villain you are against until they attack or it's the confrontation. All we know is that it'll be a Necromancer, Vampire or Wight King. 9 NPC's and zombies closing in on the Town center, aka the Tavern which has our quest in the form of Skaven in the sewers below it. Right away, a dragon swoops down and destroys the Blacksmiths. Not sure what it did to deserve that but there goes getting any equipment from there. Then to make matters worse, the covered bridge gets destroyed by a wizard fighting a demon which left two of our guys in the water. My Dwarf got out ok but the Halfling was stranded there because out of nowhere, a magical maelstrom swept in. This villain was starting to get on our nerves. Then some bad draws that had us fighting some nasty undead and we had to flee several times to save our skin. Then if things weren't bad enough, the Warrior priest ally that was with the Gold Wizard, turns out to be a traitor in our midst. Ugh. And yet we are still having a ball and can't wait till tomorrow to play more.
