The difference in time comes to mind here. Probably the same reason I almost never got to mlay with you guys back in the day when we wanted to play on xbox.

But it sure seems doable to me.
Maybe each player can set up the board in real life and just move the pieces around. Like you would play long distance chess
Ofcourse then you would have to make sure everyone plays with exactly the same pieces and there has to be a way to figure out picking up the cards.
Zombieplayer is no problem.
Maybe some soet of dungeonmaster for the heroes?
This person picks a card for each hero and then tells them (in secret) wich one it is so that the player who is actualy playing can pick that card out of his stack at home.
