I use Gimp for all my projects. It's fantastic. There are a couple things I would like from photoshop such as the some of the layer options like 'outer glow' but I've got work around a for all that.
This is the kind if project that I'd LOVE to jump on, but lately I've been committing myself to too many projects at once.  Can't wait to see the end result!
