Checked out my hobby train shop today, second time I've visited them since picking up model grass. Tons of great cars in there, whole selection of 1950's era Ford F-100 pickups, all of which 1/50 scale, but cost $30. Couldn't bring myself to buy such a perfect piece and then weather it by painting it.
In talking to the owners, I found that the 1/64 scale I was looking for is called "S-gauge" in their language. So if any of you guys decide to check out a train hobby shop, call and ask to see if they've got S-gauge before using precious gasoline and driving out. Of course, that is if you're looking for 1/64 scale. Ended up bidding on an ebay item. |
