She grew up in now what's now called District-Z the child of a crack addict mother & an unknown father. Often beaten & abused by her mothers' boyfriends She raised up hard, mean & determined to do unto others before they did it to her. The tough streets were her playground & she learned all their lessons well. Nearly illiterate but cunning & ruthless she became the neighbor pusher by the time she was in her late teens. The one bright spot in her life had been Paul Naki a ex army Ranger one of her many Foster Parents home placements. He gave her respect & bonded with her by teaching her his hand to hand combat skills. Abilities she later put to use defending her drug territory turf. When the Zombie plague started Corrine sought refuge at Pauls' house, the one place she had ever felt secure. She found Paul in the last stages of infection after he had killed his wife who had turned. Paul begged Corrine to take his prized Katana & kill him before he turned. Afterwards Corrine burned the house & took the Katana, leaving the last shred of empathy in her burning in the flames of Pauls' ashes. She later joined up with a couple of her former customers but one morning awoke to find her remaining drug stash & the Katana gone. 3 days of searching found her ex-companions remains victims of a Zombie horde but the Katana was missing. Corrine now lives by her wits with a determination to eliminate Zombies and to find her Katana. She walks District Z without hope or trust living only for vengeance & death. Basically same idea just that she did more with less. Sighing like the night wind and sobbing like the rain,— Wailing for the lost one that comes not again: |
