Just checking because it's one of the mistakes we made, but were you rolling the correct amount of dice? We were rolling just one die to open doors for like the first three scenarios and the game was kicking our asses - and was very frustrating banging on a door and burning actions - especially when you're trapped in a Vault. Then, I don't know, while perusing the rules again one of the guys goes "Holy crap, we're idiots! We're supposed to roll the same number of dice as we would for melee!" Well, that turned things around quite a bit and made doors not so frustrating. Plus we discovered the Axe
