It's getting there as you can see in the photo. Still need to get the rivers, roads, lake and ocean done but they are in the wings being prepped.

The Kraken is all done and ready to go. Plus got the ocean done and the rivers plus roads are slowly getting done as well. The lighthouse or beacon is slowly getting done and I got a lot done on the Chapel/church. But a ton of new trees to paint! Fingers crossed the trial run will be next weekend.

Thanks. But still quite a ways from being done. Presently putting magnetic sheets on the bottom of the printed roads to give them flexibility and weight. I've done this before on past projects. Dollar store FTW. Also still getting the painting done on the GW and 3d printed buildings. Then I still have to get foamcore insulation to go across the tables to make them wider. Going to order them today. But I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Really can't wait to play a game and light the fires!

Very impressive . Sometimes with big projects I sort of burn out once completed & lose interest in the Game

That is just fantastic. I can tell you have a deep love for the game and painting/terrain building. What size is your gaming board??? I can only manage a 6' x 8' at a push. An easy +1 Rep.

I completely understand Old Dwarf. Projects spur me on but then once done, what drives you then? I've built a few games and they have inches of dust on them. But I think that is more due to a lack of theme or narrative within the game rather than being burned out imo. But I've been tinkering with my own board game like this for about 4 years. Wish I'd got to play Atoe sooner. It is such a great game and what I was looking for but more fantasy. So now just a few weeks more and the Fantasy Atoe will be ready to go.

The size of the gaming board is roughly 4 x 18 SamuraiTrev. And I used to run Warhammer 40K tournaments in Japan. Thus I've built loads of terrain tables for events. But agreed, nothing of this scale. Definitely a passion of mine.

I have been working at away at the cards for months now but still at it. SO many to make and I haven't even got to printing them yet. I decided to take a break and just have an old game of Atoe with fantasy characters and a Skaven Villain. Finally got the roads done as well which made it possible. All I can say is what a great game it is. Immediately we had a good time and laughs. This was validated as last week I picked up Talisman Relic for cheap and I couldn't have been more bored and interested in finishing the game. I can't wait to get back at it with Atoe fantasy. Ticks all the boxes so to speak. We awoke to being tied up and breaking free to stop a sacrifice of a young boy by cultists. we got some free gear to start with and started in the woods where it unfolded. Also we drew a cool quest for the Abbey but it is now blocked by no less than 2 Rat ogres! My wizard is taking the long way round to get to the Abbey. Meanwhile the rest of the party is headed for town to put an end to the swarm headed for it. Our randomly drawn party of an Elven prince, Halfling Road Warden, and Human celestial wizard plus witch hunter makes for a good team. Lets see if it'll be enough to take down the Verminlord which is already growing in strength and barely into the second stage plus summoning circles everywhere! Some pics from it today.

Damn that puts my Game Room to shame. I enjoy tinkering with Games, but a Fantasy AToE never crossed my mine.
