RE: ATOE +supplements
I am loving the shit out of this game! I cannot wait to see MORE ATOE in the future! I think ATOE would translate so well into an RPG.

RE: ATOE +supplements
Well, after staying up until 4 AM painting the new figures, and then gathering a bunch of people for yesterday afternoon/evening, we did two runthroughs of the new expansions, with the soundtrack playing in the background. We generally play cooperative around here -- my wife having an identical twin, she and her clone tended to play all games cooperatively, and that's been what she prefers.

I'll admit that the first one was a playtest -- I came up with a dedicated minion chart for the necromancer so he no longer needs to poach minions from the vampire, and I wanted to see how it worked. It worked perfectly well. We defeated the necromancer, though it was a close one -- he was up to a 9 attack by the end, and made mince-meat out of the Scarlet Shadow, and nearly took down the schoolteacher and the vampire. Only the noblewoman, with her scads of Investigation, was still standing strong when the necromancer finally went down. I'll probably put together a downloadable sheet if people are curious as to the minion chart I put together for him.

Then we faced off with the Unspeakable Horror. And... well... it was pretty unspeakable how badly we lost. When, 5 turns in, everyone's been KOed at least once, and some as many as 3 times, and the Unspeakable Horror had 1 elder dead and one having gone mad and joined him... the Horror had a 10 attack, and 68 wounds...

And then we had the Cursed Village result, leading to SIX mystery cards that mystery phase?

We surrendered. That Unspeakable Horror kicked our asses.

We're going to try to defeat it again later!

RE: ATOE +supplements
FS you can do this by using Woman Logic on your wifeZombie03

As my wife says 'Look I got this $75 sweater on sale for $25
& with the $50 I saved I got these shoes"

Most On-Line stores give free shipping with order of $125+
so get the FFP stuff & tell her you saved so much on
shipping (+ On-Line discounts) that you were able to get the Deadlands Boardgame.

Ok FS......you have the married male Logic thing down pat.
I had forgotten about "Honey it's for the Kids" ploy,as
we've been empty nesters for awhile.

Still this gives me an idea for future purchases,I have a
nephew thats 8 now who likes to spend weekends with
us,so perhaps I could use him as an excuse."Honey
Brice is coming next weekend & we're always looking for things to do with him ,so I think he might like this Game"

(Of course my wife would probably reply-well we'll
play one of the hundreds you already have.I'll have
to plan this carefully.I think marriage was invented
to force the male mind to stay sharp:rolleyes:

MURDER !! My AToE SE Soundtrack just arrived arrived ,
so I'm taking a break from the Saturday chores & listening to it.

I think it will probably go better with a chilled night &
mulled wine, but right now 87F & a Diet Coke will have
to do:rolleyes:

Some how I like this better than the orginial, has it been toned down?I fine the SE much easier to listen to-perhaps its
those less energy shocks Mary Beth referes to in the
SE Notes.
