Chainsaw VS loss of faith

Ok so we were playing LNOE and this situation came up.
The chainsaw was used in the fight and the zombies played loss of faith forcing the hero to reroll the dice to see if the weapon breaks. Since keeping or loosing the chainsaw is based on weather you win or loose the fight Does the hero have to reroll all his fight dice, or is this card not even applicable in this situation?

The chainsaw does not have a weapon break roll. Instead, it just has a condition in which it does break... This makes Loss of Faith not work on it. This also makes Jenny's ability not useful with it.

The pistol is similar in this respect.

Ok that makes sense. And the thing about jenny is something I never thought about so, so also good to know.
