Soooo, to back my picks up: OK,I also read this as what what I liked best. I have no idea about The war for supremacy, I know however that Fearless Fosdick would haved kicked all their asses or that Mary Worth would have put them all to sleep.(ancient comic history). RE: DC Vs. Marvel
I had to go with Marvel.
I'd say Batman would give most of the Marvel lineup a real problem (he did beat Superman once), but overall Marvel's got far too many uber powerful characters. @Trev...I too was underwhelmed at the AMERICAN GODS novel, I kept thinking I was missing something, since everyone said it was so brilliant. Zalgo....he comes. |

RE: DC Vs. Marvel
Eh, while I wasn't blown away by American Gods as I could have been, I did still find it quite enjoyable. I still feel that the collaborative effort behind Good Omens was better hehe.
As to the discussion... a good percentage of Marvel characters are limited to Earth, whereas in the DCU the Green Lantern Corps (and all the new Corps) alone would outnumber and outpower most of the universe traversing Marvelites. Add to that all the other powers that can essential destroy worlds and... well... Yeah. |

Okay if we are jumping out of the Marvel/DC Realm to throw out some
nobody's that would supposedly take out every one... let me just throw around some more no names that would take them on Sally Sue, Cindy Lou Who, The Road Runner, Ol Wimpy (pop eye), and for fun Gullah Gullah ~If we are being chased by Zombies, I'm tripping you!!! |

RE: DC Vs. Marvel
What about Miracle Man/Marvel Man or whatever he's being called. Isn't he "part" of the Marvel Universe these days. He was supposedly the most powerful thing in the universe or something like that. I still think DC would win. I mean Batman had files on how to beat every JLA member. Batman rocks.

RE: DC Vs. Marvel
I keep seeing Batman thrown up alot
The only reason Batman had files on everyone is because he knew them. Batman wouldnt know anyone in Marvel unless he figured there weakness out during battle, and even if then wouldn't have enough time to go back to the bat cave to make a gadget to have the upper hand. I think Batman is a GREAT hero but he is still a mere mortal, and when thrown into a War with people unknown, I really think he wouldnt last that long, against most super heroes or villains from Marvel. For example: Batman VS: wolverine - Tie (batman couldnt ever really kill him) Prof X - Loss Magneto - Loss Spiderman - Win Iron Man - Win Hulk - Loss Thor- Loss Any Asguardian - Loss Captain America - Tie (probably)(maybe more in caps favor) Ms. Marvel - Loss Ant Man - Loss (maybe tie) (ant mans favored) Daredevil - Win Ghost Rider - Loss Mr Fantastic, Thing, Human Torch - loss, loss, loss Invisible Woman - Win with the exception of Hulk and Thor these are all fairly sensable powers that are not exceeding the Super Power limits that Marvel can offer, that I think could easily take Batman out. So with a 10 star Rating for Batman in this war, I would give him a 5 maybe 6 stars for what he could bring to the table in this war (I take that back definatly 5 possibly 4). Where as the GL Core would easily bring a 10. Superman bringing a 7 or 8. Do not think I am dissing Batman because in his own Verse (DC) hes a 9, and I love Batman. But in a battle he couldn't prepare for I think hes ratings go down. ~If we are being chased by Zombies, I'm tripping you!!! |
