many that take too long to hit the market go that way.. and if tey don't plug enough holes to get user interest. then they die in infant mortality with no expansions coming out that might save them.
battleship space game went that way. it was a decent concept. they left holes or hooks int he game for a PLANNED expansion. expansion never materialized. game is now dead.../ pulled.

There is a contest on BGG for copies of this game I think they choose 6 winners. (1 grand prize, 5 runner ups.) all get a copy of the game and the grand prize gets all promos.
