HeroQuest 25th Anniversary.

RE: HeroQuest 25th Anniversary.
I still don't see it-I have 2 copies of the Game + 2 Expansions & frankly IMO
HQ just doesn't hold up, better Dungeon Crawls are out there.

HQ has a static Board, unrelated monsters & requires a DM, it was rather the
1st of it's kind, so it should get some respect but $500,000 before the suspension!

Even if your misty eyed enough to want to share the Game of your youth with your kids,
I think the kids will find HQ a real yawn.

RE: HeroQuest 25th Anniversary.
The 6 or 7 kids who did play the 1st ed. loved it and keep asking when can they play it again. I agree technically there's not much there for the seasoned gamer but as an introduction to gaming I think it's great. (age ranges were 8-12). If you can suggest other dungeon crawlers out there I would give them a look.

Sam, my comment about 'not seeing it" doesn't apply in your case, if you got that # of Kids who have played & want more, it makes sense.

What I don't see is $500K being dropped on a basically
out of date Gaming system, even as a Gateway Game there
are more recent Games around that do it better.

The recent D&D Board Games,Legend of Dizzt,Wrath of Ashardalon & Castle Ravenloff. Modular, coherent Monsters & you don't
need a DM. Plus you don't have to wait for funding & production,
you just order them .

Well I'm sure anyone who cares is following this on BGG.The KS is cancelled & GZ is going
to put it up on a Spanish funding Site.

Well Yes Zombie13 The Spanish Funding Site pulled the
Campaign after a few hours-because they felt that
it was misleading (YOU THINK!!!)

What is there about Train Wrecks Zombie18

So hold on to your 1st edition boys.

RE: HeroQuest 25th Anniversary.
Yep back to playing the original, but you know what, that's not such a bad thing. I guess for me it was one of those too good to be true moments.

I'm going to find it hard to trust this KS stuff again...Insane19
