If there are 2 teams playing against each other and all of team 1 is knocked out by the "bad guys" the game doesnt end- correct?
(BUT if its just 1 team vs the villain and they get knocked out the game ends and the villain wins) |

I believe that's correct. (I've only played co-op, so I don't recall off the top of my head.)

Yes-this rule is used in Co-OP & Team Play.In Solo Team Play it's ONLY in force if the Teams have OVER 2 Heros ( SWtWC clarification).
