RE: Role Playing Journals
In the summer of 1969, the Waldrup family is going on vacation in scenic El Paso, Texas. Coming along are their in-laws, cousins, and Aunt Irene, all ready to have a whole week away. But on their way to the Valley Lodge, they get lost in the desert. Is that a house? Maybe they can ask directions.

On October 16, I ran another online game of Call of Cthulhu, this time for the Miskatonic Repository Con 2021. This was the original scenario "Manos: The Fingers of Fate," the sequel to the movie "Manos: The Hands of Fate."

The role playing journal of the scenario is here:

RE: Role Playing Journals
On Halloween 2017, a group of 10th graders head out to the old Carrick farm near Lockport, New York, to hang out. The site was the spot connected to several murders that took place in and around Lockport in 1987. That was a long time ago though. Nothing could be out there now, could it?

On October 31, I ran another online game of Call of Cthulhu, this time the 2nd annual Halloween game. This year it was Trick or Treat 2, the original sequel to Trick or Treat from Blood Brothers.

The role playing journal of the scenario is here:

https://www.yog-sothoth.com/blogs/entry/...r-treat-2/

Players were:

Matt McPike as Madison Temple
Sean McPike as Bert Eaton
Yorie Latimer as Noah Fisher

RE: Role Playing Journals
In December of 1003 A.D., the prior of Murkwell Monastery asks Aelfric to take a message to the nearby Bonnington Nunnery. However, the storm that blows up as they arrive and the rumors of a ghost that haunts the nunnery make for a terrifying evening.

On December 22, I ran another online game of Call of Cthulhu, this time Cthulhu Dark Ages, with the original scenario "The Ghost of Bonnington Nunnery."

The roleplaying journal of the scenario is here:

https://www.yog-sothoth.com/blogs/entry/...n-nunnery/

Players were:

James Brown as Aelfric (scholar)
Aaron Frager as Birhtnoth the Smith (craftsman)

RE: Role Playing Journals
In March of 1004 A.D., the small group sets forth from Murkwell with plans to exhume Brother Drake and possibly raise his body from the dead! However, while they are in London, a strange little man thrusts a book into Birhtnoth's hands and flees, bidding him "Don't let them get this!" They begin to read the book ...

On January 14, I ran another online game of Call of Cthulhu, this time Cthulhu Dark Ages AND Cthulhu Invictus, with the scenario "Thulian Echoes."

The roleplaying journal of the scenario is here:

Players were:

James Brown as Aelfric (scholar)
Aaron Frager as Birhtnoth the Smith (craftsman)
Sean McPike as Arlyss the Giant (trader)

RE: Role Playing Journals
The group continues reading the strange book thrust upon them in March of 1004 A.D. It relates the events of a group of Romans and others in 162 A.D. who went to an island far northwest of England they called Thule.

On January 23, I ran another online game of Cthulhu Dark ages, using Cthulhu Invictus to relate the scenario "Thulian Echoes" to the Dark Ages readers.

The roleplaying journal of the game session is here:

James Brown as Munatius Calogerus Magnus (gladiator)
Aaron Frager as Vagionius Verecundus (magus)
Sean McPike as Leb Shahar (Rabbi)

RE: Role Playing Journals
In the Spring of 1877, three men arrived in the village of Saltmarsh in Washington Territory. Each of them had goals and aspirations of their own, but they would soon be thrown together by the strange events that surrounded that isolated town on the Pacific coast.

On February 2, I started a new campaign online, tentatively named Northwest Pacific Fears, for Down Darker Trails. We're starting off using the Advanced Dungeons and Dragons scenario "The Sinister Secret of Saltmarsh" as well as the D&D campaign "Ghosts of Saltmarsh" adapted to Call of Cthulhu in the American west.

The roleplaying game of the game session is here:

https://www.yog-sothoth.com/blogs/entry/...saltmarsh/

Players are:

Kyle Matheson as Owen Starr (politician)
James Brown as William Hazard (dilettante)
Yorie Latimer as Hugh Pierre Luckheart aka Jack (greenhorn)
