Some Card ideas
Playing Shadowrun (the pen & paper) yesterday, got me some ideas for new cards.

Cricket Bat
-----------
Item - Hand Weapon

COMBAT BONUS:
The Hero may add +1 to
one of your Fight
Dices. This ability may
be used multiple times
per fight.
After each use,
Breaks on 1 or 2 (Discard).

Flintlock Pistol
----------------
Item - Ranged Weapon

Range: 2

You may target one Zombie within
Range. Roll a D6. The Zombie is
Hit on the roll of 4+.
On the roll of 1, the Pistol is
out of ammo (discard).

Golf Club
---------
Item - Hand Weapon

COMBAT BONUS:
The Hero may attack twice
the same Zombie. This ability
can be used one time per fight.
After each use,
Breaks on 1, 2 or 3 (Discard).

Katana
------
Item - Hand Weapon

COMBAT BOUNS:
The Hero may roll an extra
Fight Dice. This ability may
be used multiple times per fight.

After each use, Breaks on 1 or 2
(Discard as the katana gets stuck
in the Zombie).


A.W.P.
------
Item - Ranged Weapon

Range: 4

You may target one Zombie within
Range. Roll a D6. The Zombie is
Killed on the roll of 4+.
Each time the AWP is fired,
roll a D6. On the roll of 1,2 or 3,
the AWP is out of ammo (discard).

Scope
-----
Item

The Hero may add +1 to
the Range of one Ranged
Weapon.
Discard this Item when
discarding the equipped
Weapon.

Bombie
------
Zombie Evet

The Zombie player select one Zombie.
This Zombie explodes. Roll a D6 for
each model in that space. Heroes are
wounded on the roll of 3+. Any Zombie
in that space is Killed on the
roll of 5+.

What do you think about them?

Oooo! These are all awesome, but I particularly LOVE the Bombie idea! Nasty, too! LOL!

I'm not quite sure what you mean by the hero "may attack the same zombie twice." How exactly would this be used. Is it like initiating a whole new fight? Does the zombie get to roll again as well?

In other words, say they roll. The zombie rolls higher. The hero then uses this card. Is this considered to be a whole new fight, meaning the hero took a wound but is now trying again to see if they can defeat the zombie this time?

Or, is this still the same fight? If that is the case, what exactly does the hero get to do? Not sure I quite get what you mean on this one.

That's what I ment. It's an ability you don't use so often but in combination with 'hero rage' for example, it can help you to win a lost fight.

Maybe someone can write a better phrase to define that thought.

And to stock up the Zombie Deck I got these in mind:

Hands from the Graveyard
------------------------
Zombie Event

In the next Hero Turn, every
Hero outside a building has
to skip their Move Action.


Haunted House
-------------
Zombie Evet

The Zombie player select one Board Tile.
Roll a random building and place a Haunted
House Marker on it. All Heroes in that building
can just move D3.

Ooo! I love both of those ideas! Man, where do you come up with this stuff? I really love the idea, thematically, of imagining zombies suddenly coming up from the ground and grabbing you as you try to get away!

I don't know if zombies exactly "haunt" anything, though. LOL! No, I'm just teasing. I really think that idea is neat too. You could almost think of it like being a building known to be crawling with a lot of zombies. Thematically, you could say that the heroes are aware of the building and know it to have a lot of zombies in it sometimes. So, they tend to avoid it, but when they do go there, they are extra cautious.

I love how it is kind of a different spin on taken over. You can still go in the building, and you can still search, but you do so carefully, and at your own risk. ;-)

Oh sweet baby jesus. All of these ideas are fantastic, especially the Katana and Bombie. My only thought is maybe allow the Katana to kill instantly on a roll of 6. I only say that because they are pretty sick weapons and definitely lethal. Watchmen02

Oooo! Loving seeing them with the cards now! I love "Undead Beauty." My only suggestion would be that maybe the heroes stuck due to the presence of the undead beauty should be able to roll to try to escape. Otherwise, it could lead to a quick massacre for any hero or heroes that wind up stuck in the space with her. Even if there were multiple heroes, then one of them would have to fight her in the zombie round, but techniaclly ALL of them would have to fight her in the hero round, since remaining in a space with a zombie during your hero turn means you have to fight them.

Then again, this isn't too different from some of the existing cards in the deck, so maybe it is fine as is. Anybody else have thoughts?

Awesome cards!

Bombie is pretty similar to the Explosive Grave Weapon Zombie.
I would make Undead Beauty a Grave Weapon Zombie (although like Staypuft says. She is over powered. Maybe tone her down a bit maybe she could be used like old Betsy? Heroes have to roll 5+ to move away...
