RE: The Walking Dead Boardgame
I hope it's good. I wonder what it will be like and if it's story driven.

Ack. I started collecting very late, but I got the hard bound collection when it first came out. Best move ever.

RE: The Walking Dead Boardgame
This looks like somebody got confused on the marketing chain of command... or they're playing it safe.
I'd imagine the one by Z-man based on the comic will be more geared to 'hardcore' gamers, what with it's hex based map and clutter of tokens. The TV-based game looks very minimalist and safe, no doubt so they can market it by selling it at department stores like Walmart and Target. With the popularity of the show as it is, they'll no doubt sell a billion of these. With any luck they'll both be worth playing. There's shots of both games up on Board Game Geek. On an unrelated note, I'm living smack in the middle of their filming. The other day they supposedly shot scenes for a pharmacy scene no more than half a mile from my house in downtown Sharpsburg here in Georgia. Everyone and their mother is trying to get on as extras around here... it's silly though because no one can seem to pass the weight requirement (less than 120lbs.) |
