But, that would be changing a rather big part of the rules.

Hi,

I agree about not changing the rules here.

But could be :

- "Play any Townfolk event card from discard pile. Remove that card from game"

- "Take a wound and on a roll of 4+ may play a townfolk card from discard pile"

- "At beginning of Hero turn roll a dice. On a roll of 6 can play only once a Townfolk card from discard pile until next Hero turn"

RE: a New hero
Hi,

you are right it is not really "Breaking the rules" per say.

Just that for each character abilities are either :

- self use
- instant use if useable on everyone (father joseph)

Event are like a common pool of special actions for all characters.

Rules :
p11 Search :"Note that Events are not associated with any one Hero, but instead are held by the player to be used whenever is appropriate (...)"
p15 Wounding and Healing Heroes :"Any items Hero had are immediately discarded. Any Event cards the player has in hand are unaffected."

Also on the FAQ :
1. Can Event Cards be exchanged, just like Item
or Weapon Cards?

1. It doesn't matter, because the owner of the Hero
Event is a trivial factor. No matter who holds the card,
they can use it on anyone at any time. If the owner of
the Event decides they want someone else to use it,
they can just play that Event on behalf of the other
player. No need to transfer the card.

There is a distinction between the player and Hero.

Of course it is possible to try maintain different hands, and use house rules but maybe there is an easier way.

For example : "instead of searching may use a townsfolk card from discard pile"

Townfolk cards can be very potent IMHO. But even with growing Hunger that means only 9 cards in the deck. So it needs testing Watchmen02

Nice work btw
