fantasy board game?
Anyone know of a good fantasy board game along the lines of hero quest, but with no expansions, or maybe only one expansion, that is pretty simple without overly complex rules and has miniatures? lol

RE: fantasy board game?
I guess your after a Dungeon Exploration Game.

I have several but they are OoP(WH Quest,Advanced Hero Quest & Dragon Strike) but only Dragon Strike meets
you criteria.

RE: fantasy board game?
they all seem sort of geared for children... any other systems out there like that? Say I have $150 to spend for everything (if it has expansions and stuff I HAVE to have them because I'm like that)

Not sure what that comment means ? WQ Quest & Advanced
Hero Quest are set in same WH Universe as Hero Quest.
Dragon Strike is simpler (yes the Game Video is childish)
but meets your stated criteria & not a bad game.

Descent by FFG is probably the best Dungeon Game
currently in print-but it has several expansions &
a lot of rules.Your $150 would not cover the base
Game + expansions.

warhammer quest looks like it'd be fun, and I like warhammer. Any links to where I could purchase that along with the add ons for it?

RE: fantasy board game?
yea, im the type that has to have all the expansion stuff if it's there... that's why I hate DLC in video games, the trend sucks for my bank account. haha

RE: fantasy board game?
I still fall back on Hero quest.
It is quick and easy the kids love it and can still be snagged at a decent price if you are patient.
Some of the quests however are going to set you back if you are a purist.
Otherwise the info for those quests are out there in printable format.

A great place to go for HQ info is "old scratch's HeroQuest forum" Beware they don't use sensitive language over there.
However they have amazingly talented people and great stuff over there.
