RE: gears of war
That makes the COGS much more distinguishable. That is a pretty big gripe of mine right now. The COGS are all posed very similarly (except the dude lobbing the grenade), and they are hard to tell apart unpainted.

This is some dope results. I am painting these figs next for sure, right after I finish the last LNOE guys (sometime in 2013!).

Most likely Gears of War will be my next purchase. I already have LNoE and IfOS. I've also been looking at Elder Sign. Gears of War seems to be leaps and bounds over Elder Sign though.

Yes, it sure does. I love the video games and this game was an instant buy. The scenarios are pretty tough but man, when you win its hi-fives everywhere!

Gears of War and Elder Sign are just too different to even compare.
Elder Sign is a quick Mythos fix that can generate a terrfic back
story otherwise it's a roll & pray game.

Gears of War is probably the best play against an AI around.
It cost a lot more than Elder Sign but you get a LOT more.

I own & play both and enjoy them both but as far as the Game goes
no comparison Gears of War is de Bomb.

Sighing like the night wind and sobbing like the rain,—
Wailing for the lost one that comes not again:

Usually that is true.

However,...

When one's next purchase is a decision between the aforementioned two titles a comparison between the two is more than necessary.

That being said: Gears of War appears to be the next title I will be purchasing.

RE: gears of war
For those of you who are unaware, there is the Heroclix version of GoW, which comes pre-painted. In my country in Singapore, each figure comes at a reasonable price of 5 bucks SGD, and with slightly more details. This is for those who are lazy to paint or are less talented like me :p
