EDIT: Got to start taking the time to read the full thread BEFORE responding.
I think Elder Sign is a good game. Unlike Arkham, which I also enjoy, it does not take forever to play.
I own this game and it saved my impression of the mythos scene.
I bought Arkham Horror as my very first boardgame in my life and it was pretty boring (for me)
The dice game with the luck portion made it all fast paced and fun as compared to Arkham Horror which was extremely draggy and stretched out with alot of downtime between turns.
was in barnes and nobles or BAM this weekend and say a small stand alone game based on arkham asylum.
essentially a group of investigators in a museum trying to find an eldritch sign to seal a gat to block an ancient one from awakening.. faster play.. smaller.. etc.
anyone got it and played it?
i can't wait to play it.. we love arkham.. but not hte extended time it takes for a full game
headed over to a buddies house after work to play elder sign. anticipating skipping lunch to get off a bit early..
Love Elder Sign. Just a quick fun game, nice theme but not too taxing (no Last Night On Earth though)
Wish you to have fun mate!
and come back to review it to us
hopefully will be able to write a review in the morning.
