Me too, I still love the HQ minis now and they hold up pretty well. I remember my first attempts at painting and it was a case of paint straight out of the pot. No shading or highlights. Job done!Zombie17 It wasn't pretty but I was happy at the time. Plus it was MUCH quicker to get models onto the table.
Hi all, next up is the terrifying Wight. I have got the original Wight on the Advanced Heroquest Wight profile. He originally came from the Citadel (Lord of the Rings) ME-73 Barrow Wights set and was called w. Sword Raised. So far, this is one of the minis I am most proud of. I loved the sculpt before I started painting it and I love it even more now. When I drop this guy into the game it always gets a huge reaction from the group. Most of the time they flee! Zombie17

Rising soon from are....Vampires!
Whoa! I don't have that fig. & I have a lot of LOtR stuff.
I have Barrow Wights so don't know how I miss that guy?
I'll need to check my collection to see what figs I used.

ps- Great paint job as usual
Hi all, next up are the immortal Vampire. I have got the original Vampire on the Advanced Heroquest Vampire profile (middle Vampire). He originally came from the Citadel 4530 Ethereals set and was called Vampire 5. I haven't got to use a vampire in the game yet and I can't wait to do so! I think these vampires have that classic look a kind of cross between Count Dracula and Nosferatu. I also believe this look became the basis of the Von Carstein house of Vampires in Warhammer Fantasy Battles.

Hi all, next up are the ever living Liches. I have got the original Liche on the Advanced Heroquest Liche profile (1st pic.). He originally came from the Citadel C18 Night Horrors set and was called Lich. I haven't got to use a Liche yet in the game yet and I can't wait to do so!

Another model I just had to include was Mobius The Liche from the classic Machinaries of Destruction range (MD8 Skeleton War Machines). I remember my dad painting this set when I was about 15 and I still have them. I managed to pick up another one and had to include it as an extra Liche.

I wonder what happened to Advanced Heroquest? I wonder if it's possible you still have it in a box that never got unpacked after you moved? I've got quite a few greenskins. My only real issue is choosing which figures make the cut because there's so many cool figures which just ooze character.
Alas ,when we moved my wife said"your not taking all those Games" so I had a choice of Advanced Heroquest
or Warhammer Quest & I chose WQ & AHQ went in the sale.

The Orcs did have some cool figs, I painted up Regular Orcs, Savage Orcs & Black Orcs. The Shaman figs
were especially cool.
