i just read through the rules, and in my opinion, this game looks a little poopy.

Imagine betrayal at house on the hill, except with only one haunt, and with the fiddliness cranked up to a million, and what you have is dark, darker, darkest.
Being the imbecile I am, I mainly buy games for their pretty components if I feel I can use them elsewhere.

What this actually means is that I have ALOT of pretty games that I never play.

So though I hope DDD is a good game, I am the exact type of idiot who buys up pretty yet bad games and keeps companies making them.

But I do have like 8 large tackle boxes full of miniatures and lots of maps tiles and board sections.

Here's to wishing for more than minis and map tiles.
fair enough, same for me, but this time it aint that pretty ;D
i got tons of games I never play.. or palyed once... or opened then never played. but yeah.. re-tasking their parts sometimes is a good deal...

I agree I read through the rules and wasn't so impressed. I like the concept it just didnt seem to work out the way I thought it was going to.
I should read the rules I guess.
Maybe I will drop down to one copy of the game.

Anybody here in Suffolk NY?
I read some of the rules too and was really confused. Complicated. 5 different dice! It seemed like a good idea, but at the end of it all the game was about opening a door. Not for me.
the dice don't bother me.

if you don't like lots of dice. don't play a d20 game like and of the dnd clones as every poly hedral up to 20 is used.

and look at starwars. complete new dice sets.

lotsa games have different dice.
Some of the rules really had me scratching my head, such as targeting particular parts of a zombie, checking to see who can be seen be security cameras, rolling to see what direction fires spread.

Individually, the ideas seem good, but i've played enough games to have an idea of how tiresome it must be to keep track of all that.

My guess is the game collapses under its own weight.
reminds me of starfleet battles.

a long, laborious game with endless recordkeeping.. Watchmen02
