RE: Advanced Heroquest Ultimate Project (begins after 33 Years)
Hi all, here's my recent work. I've been working on dungeon scenery such as treasure and furniture. To add flavour to my dungeons. These are from various companies.

Grenadier

2026 Encounter at the Crypt of The Warrior King (1987)
I've had this set from the early '90's and I've just got around to painting it.

Citadel Miniatures and Otherworld Miniatures

The Otherworld Miniatures set was called DF3b Treasure Items II. I bought that around 10 years ago. It contained the armour, sword, gold statue, urns and the treasure chest with the arched lid. The square based treasure pile belonged to an early Citadel Miniatures set called C39 Treasure Chests.

I hope you've enjoyed taking a look and I will share the next part of the journey soon. The forces of the undead!

Comments always welcome Zombie17

I'm really impressed ! Once you decided to start how long did it take to finish?

Hi OD, The 2026 Encounter at the Crypt of The Warrior King set took me a week. The other stuff took me another couple of weeks as I steadily worked my way through it.

RE: Advanced Heroquest Ultimate Project (begins after 33 Years)
Hi all, as promised, I'm back with the undead faction. We have to start with skeleton warriors. I have got the original skeleton warrior on the Advanced Heroquest Skeleton Warrior profile. He came from the Citadel C17 Skeletons set and was called Scyther. The rest of the skeletons are from several sets and I've chosen some of my favourites from my collection. Thanks for taking a look.

Got to have a HeroQuest skeleton in there. I wanted to included a casualty as this can be used as a plot device in my games or as a marker to loot defeated skeletons. I intend to use casualties from each race.

I love these Cursed Company miniatures. They were originally a Dogs of War unit in Warhammer Fantasy Battles but I thought they'd suit AHQ perfectly. I have painted them in the colours of their specific races and units to match their living counterparts. I have also used original oldhammer shields.

Thanks for looking everyone. Happy dungeon delving!
Next up is the Undead Champion and Zombies!!!

Glad to take you down memory lane. Watchmen02

Hi all, next up are the lovable Zombie warriors and the Undead Champion. I have got the original Undead Champion and the Zombie warrior on the Advanced Heroquest Zombie Warrior profile. He came from the Citadel C18 Zombies set and was called Rotstagger. The rest of the Zombies are from the same set except the one with a shield. I've chosen some of my favourites from my collection. Thanks for taking a look.

Got to have a HeroQuest Zombie in there.

I have painted them in the colours of match the Henchmen uniforms (these are basically dead Henchmen). I have also used an original oldhammer shield.

Thanks for looking everyone. Happy dungeon delving!
Next up are Ghouls.

RE: Advanced Heroquest Ultimate Project (begins after 33 Years)
Hi all, next up are the filthy Ghouls. I have got the original Ghoul on the Advanced Heroquest Ghoul profile. He came from the Citadel C18 Night Horrors set and was called Ghoul (bottom picture, far right). The rest of the Zombies are from the same set (4522) except bottom pic. 4th from left (He's from the Talisman game). I've chosen some of my favourites from my collection. Thanks for taking a look.

I have painted them in the colours of match the Henchmen uniforms. These are basically Henchmen that became trapped in the dungeons and out of starvation, madness and desperation slowly succumbed to the abhorrent act of cannibalism. Over the years, they've lost all vestiges of human virtues and have become feral carrion feeders who will attack to feed. Your Heroes falling prey to a pack of bloodthirsty Ghouls face a fate worse than death. Dispatch these without mercy.

Thanks for looking everyone. Happy dungeon delving!
Rising soon from their sarcophagi are....mummies!

Hi all, next up are the ancient mummies. I have got the original Mummy on the Advanced Heroquest Mummy profile. He came from the Citadel C18 Night Horrors set and was called Mummy (miniature on the right). The mummy on the left is from the same set and the middle Mummy is from Heroquest. I love the character in these figures. Thanks for taking a look.
