RE: Mansion of Madness
Probably a good thing OD. Imagine the spoilers!!! Apparently this book is on the flip-side of the Investigator book.

And the release date has been brought forward from March 14th to March 8th!

WHAT!!!!!!!!Zombie22

I had this sucker preordered since Sept! & it's still hasn't shipped,
even FFG has it as not available yet.

This is not what Lexington & Concord was aboutInsane21
plus we're not invighted to the Wedding.

Enjoy Z67 I envy you.

OD

PS

I checked on my preorder with CSI & it's marked processed ready to ship..
It's a 3 day delivery from FL to NJ so will probably miss the weekend.

PSS

I have FFG we've shipped e-mail! but nothing yet from UPS giving me a delivery date, probably will get that
sometime later today.

*Sigh* I knew the low price was too good to be true when I ordered this from Amazon... Estimated delivery date is now July. The scuttlebutt at BGG points to FFG selling out of the first print run already!

I noticed Z67 hasn't posted since he got MoM Watchmen02
CSI sent a e-mail that it shipped my Game 3/2/11 but
I never got a Tracking # nor confirmation from UPS.

I had to contact them to see what goes & they suddenly
found my Tracking #...so it's due Monday(alas no weekend
& Sunday is suppose to rain all day-would have been perfect).

The extra day's wait is worst than the preorder wait from Sept.
I can imagine how poor Talos feels with the Amazon shaftInsane16

Haven't played it yet - first game tomorrow.

Have finished painting the minis (will get some pics up at some stage) and just need to varnish them.

RE: Mansion of Madness
Well, just had our first game tonight and both Kath and I enjoyed it immensely.

One really good point, over other FFG games we enjoy, was the time. Even with the times I had to re-check the rulebook and the odd mistake, the whole game took about 2-2.5 hours (most FFG games take us 3-4 hours and more). This is due to the Event Cards and the Time Tokens, there is a definite end, which is very good.

One thing I know will please Old Dwarf is that the monster choices are tailored to each scenario, so no random monsters as in Arkham.

The game played well with Kath controlling 2 Investigators (well, 3 after 1 died) and myself as the Keeper. I also think the game would be great fun with a group of players, in fact Scenario 5 is designed to be played with 2 or more Investigator players and cannot be played with just one.

Personally, even after one play I can recommend this to any Horror game fan, especially those into the Cthulhu Mythos.
