Isn't France suposed to be wine country? Naming something in the US wine country sounds like calling the UK Beer Country to me

The UK is Real Ale country. I've been to the breweries of several. St Austels, Theakstons and Black Sheep's. The UK make the best Real Ale and Bitter in the World. I have devoted my life to its studies and its various qualities.

Actually the US has some excellent wine areas California's
Nappa Valley & the NY Finger Lake Area being the most famous.
North Carolina & my own South Jersey also put out some decent stuff.

In fact when the French Vines got the blight they were replaced with
ones from California.
