Are battle slain reaminated by vile
Hyperborian magics. Special Units for rules

The Dead-Hyperboria only-as long as the Hyborian
Magician is on the Board she may summonds the Dead.

1.To do so at least 2 Units(any side)must have been
eliminated(thats killed not merely driven off the Board)

2.Magician may use 3 PIP to cast the spell.The Dead
are then placed adjacent to the Magician.They may
not move the turn placed but can fight.

3.Thereafter it cost 2AP to activate The Dead but
no other modifications apply.

4.The Dead move & fight as a Horde except they
don't flee or recoil.They must be killed(re-killed)to
eliminate.If eliminated they can't be resummonend.

I've only played 1 game of "zombies" and it was a couple years ago. don't remember much about it except it was a card game.. must have been back around #4.

what's the real skinny on the game?

you're all survivors trying to escape the city. Be the first to the helapad and kill the zombie on the center to win, or be the first to kill 25 zombies. Some of the different expansions have different ways to win.

so it sounds non cooperative. IE.. each player is trying to be the winner, vs the group of survivors being the winner.

oh its a total screw the other palyers game. Still fun, i think Last Night is better but still fun.

I kinda prefer players against board elements.. or players against game master.

played a couple this weekend.. using that web content scenerio.. gotta get out.. etc.

hero's lost one, zombies lost one. was a good game on both sides..

2nd game where hero's won, they got lucky and had a good group of hero's and the townsfolk hero's were awesome.. and they took chances and used TFH powers to cancel zombie cards.. and never lost one! I managed to get 2 of them by luck.. but I was tanking on zombi resuply rolls and 4 times in a row got 1 zombie out.. since I was using grave dead, I couldn't get my specials out as needed.

1st game on the other hand.. hero's got stuck due to teraine and I was able to get them bottlenecked.

Honestly, I found Zombies!!! to be fun the first few times, but the longer I played it, the less fun it became -- and the expansions actually added less and less to the game each time. Then I found LNoE, and I felt it really took what was fun about the Zombies!!! game, and combined it with what was fun about Betrayal at House on the Hill, and made it something new and awesome.

I've stopped playing Zombies!!! or buying its expansions. LNoE is my zombie game.

I play other board games, but none with zombie elements (unless you count Betrayal at House on the Hill, which might have a zombie scenario).

How do you like Betrayal at House on the Hill? I'm thinking about picking it up but I'm not sure how much replay value it has. What are your thoughts on the game?
